Every Freakin 'summer' where I live out in the jungle of a part of NE Florida, USA, the power goes out daily in the early am (today was7am) for a second, and resumes. This is a BIG pain in the ass when you set your alarm for 8am and don't have a back-up battery, or say, you are writing a dissertation on a PC and haven't saved your work in 20 minutes....

Unless you Have a UPS (Uninterrupted Power supply for you L-Users). I am writing this because I recently re-organized my office, and even though I am a tech, I neglected to use my UPS thinking, 'well, i need to rewire everything again anyway, i'll do it tomorrow'... guess what just happened.

I am going to see if I can get a bulk deal on UPS's and I will share the wealth with you TSI (ThrashInc) users.

Excuse me while I go smash myself in the head with a baseball bat.

Here in the Caribbean, you don't even THINK about hooking up a computer without a UPS.

Still, I feel your pain. I had a computer crash wipe out about a day's worth of work on a project I was involved in a year or so ago. Ugh.
