here's the problem: I just got a new computer. It's a gateway dual processor (don't ask me the specifics... it's too late and I'm just too lazy) with a 19" widescreen flat monitor. (that I'm happy about) Anyway, once in a while when I turn it on, the keyboard lights up but when I click on the firefox quick launch it's disappears and it no longers works. I've tried restarting the computer and it does nothing. I've tried using the start menu for the internet. I've tried the start menu, the program files, the search method for the internet, even internet explorer and Word instead of firefox, thinking it was the program. I tried going into the control panel and clicking on the keyboard icon and it said that it was working without a problem.
I ran Spybot and AdAware and they came up with nothing. I'm running BitDefender9 Professional Plus and Zone Alarm and I ran CCleaner. I did all of that in regular mode and safe mode and then the keyboard started working again. I have to do that every time for the damn thing to work even though everything comes back with no results. (seriously, nothing else seems to work... is that just a coincidence?)
What is going on? Can someone help me? It's a brand new computer. It's the keyboard that came with the computer.
