GRRRR!!! With torture and body dismemberment, that's what I'll do to him!

Who needs a virus with Corey around? My computer wiz of a roommate just wiped out both hard drives with some kind of safe mode clean sweeper his tec friend recommended to speed the system. Is there any way to get it back? All my pics, vids, music, art, writing...it's gone....gone. *mourns* (yes- the pr0n too)

Edit: nvrmd, he found a recover my files program, I hope it works *crosses fingers*

Actually, I have the perfect one, it's cheap, up-to-date, and it's quick as fuck ...
Plextor-740A ...

I got it for $74.99 on NewEgg.Com almost a year ago; I've never looked back ...
Black Front, $74.99 (something was included); White Front +20 DVD's, $79.99

Seriously, I'd not buy another one at this point; it does dual-layer, it's fast, and it rocks ...
... I've found NO FLAWS in it

... and I need a LOT of specific things from my burners for my professional needs
... it's never let me down

... it even copies DVD's an average of 4 min FASTER than my friend's DVD burner that cost $159.99

Plextor rocks, it's my only choice in burners; all 3 of the burners in my compters are Plextors ...
(2 in this one, one in my other "spare" system)

Corey was jazzed when I showed him that link, he says Newegg is the shit, that his friend has a Plextor Cd burner which is awesome as well. AND they are offering 20 free DVD-R, plus a $20 rebate, damn, can't beat that, thanks a bunch Dave, that's what I'll get. cheesey

damn.. I might head there... I gotta change the drive in my tower... the drawer doesn't like to come open when you hit the button... it sounds like it wants to, but when I hit the 'open' button, I hear a 'clunk' like it's perhaps not closing all the way.. *shrugs* perhaps i'll check it out..
