so Andy hasn't had a drink since friday nite. it's now monday. this is the longest streach of sobriety so far.
we talked saturday nite and i think he actually heard me.
i think he has been blaming his problems on me being in a bad mood all the time.
my bad mood wasn't all the time until he started drinking.
i was just officially diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. flailing moods come with that, among other things.
when he was drunk he said "I will quit drinking when you work on not being angry all the time"
i forgot he was drunk when he said that and i burst into tears and left the room. i had been crying off and on that night.
i still feel like it's my fault that he was drinking.
he said he wants to go back to the way we were living before, healthy eating, being active, not even smoking, and no alcohol. and of course no drugs.
with the help of my councelor i have put together an intervention of sorts for him and that happens wednesday.
honestly, his drinking was hurting me bad.
i am in recovery, and living with active addiction... beer bottles and cans everywhere, his nasty alcohol breath... knowing he is intoxicated....
fucking drives me nuts.
at the intervention i am going to tell him, finally, that if he drinks again, i am leaving.
my parents are giving me space at their house, and they said i could stay as long as i need to.
it has taken me 2 months to figure out what "It's his choice" means.....
all this time, he gets beer after work, and we sit out on the deck til 2 in the morning. i have been trying to hang on to the man i fell in love with...
but he is gone.
i told him that. i told him everything i could with a positive attitude, saturday nite when he wasn't drinking.
i needed hm to hear that.
so i am just trying to stay positive and waiting to see where this will go.

the intervention went well. very well. i told him finally that if he started drinking again i was leaving and he got a little mad about that but he misunderstood. he thought i was telling him what to do. i clairified, and said no, i am telling you what will happen if you drink again.
anyway, he is still sober and i am excited, he actually THANKED me for the intervention!!!!!
so we are saving about 200$ a month now!!!
we are working on getting into a 3 bedroom apartment......
