I realize what Mosh posted was a joke. The tone of your post seemed critical of women. It also seemed to me that you tried to insult the intelligence of Hayley in it, even though she made a few good points-whether it was her post or not. You took everything she posted and ridiculed her with it.
I hope all of that was a joke, but there is often truth in joking. Somehow, based on what I've seen you post thus far, I think you were joking about some things and there were other things you really believe to be true. The things I felt you were joking about I either didn't disuss or complimented.
Whether you were joking or not. If I can misperceive it, then certainly someone else might. I felt I had to respond to some of your "joke" because it insulted me as a woman.
Since it was a "joke", I'm sure you don't mind. There are a lot of ignorant people in the world and a lot of people that are influenced by that ignorance. How am I to know that you are not one of them? I haven't seen enough depth to your post to assume otherwise.

No problem. It was my pleasure. I too thought the main reason she posted it was to score points with guys. She seems to get great pleasure from pleasing them while at the same time disrespecting herself.

O.K. It didn't seem to me that you were being completely disrespectful in this thread. I picked up on some of the humor which I pointed out or left untouched. Once again, there were certain things you said that didn't seem to be joking at all.
If you read my entire response, however, you would have realized it wasn't attacking you, but was pointing out the message I received from some elements of your post. In it you also insulted another woman on the board who had some good points (whether she actually wrote them or found them somewhere) by directly singling her out as being nieve. I could go into how you did this, but I'm sure no one wants that. You failed to point out any good points to her post. Perhaps I became angry because I have heard some of what you've said, said by men. For you to post about it the way you did in my mind encouraged them to think women were insane idiots that were irrational in their thinking. To me it seemed like you were saying as a woman that you too saw woman as unreasonable and so all a man could do was lie about, ignore, and flee conflicts.
I didn't perceive that message as a joke at all. Not with the tone you were using with Hayley.
My point was, if it was a misperception then great. I would hate to think anyone really thinks this way. The fact that I became confused about some of your post being serious made me post a response to only those parts.
I did not confuse Mosh's post as anything but a joke. He was not , directly or indirectly, insulting one person .
I see nothing wrong with pointing that out and you responding in a kind way, as I did initially. Yet you did not. As you've done with other posts, you labelled me without a sense of humor, implying once again as you've done in other threads that I didn't belong here.
In other words, just because I post serious things at times, doesn't mean you need to criticize me for it.
This obviously leads me to this: If you are going to criticize my posting, why wouldn't you think I would criticize yours or coppers. You both have made comments about other posters being too serious for your liking.

No, if they posted about it as repetively as Copper did about pot and anal sex, and exclusively about it, I would have told them the joke was getting old as well.

I don't mind what someone posts, but if I find a part of it offensive. I am allowed to make comments about it. If I misunderstand part of the joke because people have varying senses of humor, I am allowed to comment about it or question it.
So, have we come to an agreement here? You post the way you post, and I'll post the way I post. If you think I'm too serious at times, you'll respect that thats my style and I'm allowed to express it. If you can respect that, I wont single your style out anymore.

However, how long did you read about on this board before posting? Did you notice any sort of posting styles or general moods? Because honestly, most of these threads are far from serious, most of which you'll find something to do with fecal matter, gayness, or retardation, and most of it is pointed at someone on here. And really, it's all a big ha ha ha ha good time. To be so somber makes it dreadfully hard to keep that sort of mood flowing, but that's ok, you don't know us, and we don't know you.
