I thought you said she didn't ask for money, you gave it willingly to help out. Then it really isn't a scam is it. For friendship maybe, but not money.
I have no idea why this warrants reply
I 'gave' the money to a brunette girl named 'Bella' with breast cancer, 2 boys, and undergoing a second round a chemotherapy.
I did not give it to Melissa
She took it.
Let me ask you something -
How would I know she had a need for money, unless she opened her fat mouth and said something? So you suppose I just send money out of thin air?
She created the need and the aura of pity, no?
I am willing to take all the blame obviously You internet anons are so tough n all

he knew what he was doing when he sent the money. Bitterness after the fact doesn't make it a scam. I don't think she coerced the money from him either. It as willingly given.
Yes it was given willingly
You smell like Melissa, confident with some inner knowledge etc
The whole thing was a lie She lied to an entire website forum There was no one there who thought (at least publicly) that she was anything other than what she said. I show up, naive and what not, and take it at face value that "Bella" was what she said said she was because EVERYONE ELSE ACTED LIKE IT
Now, some insipid morons STILL call her Bella until this day, if you haven't noticed, so it proves the lie was pretty entrenched.
Yes, asshole Some people are willing to help other people Amazing I know. You must come from such a mean place to have never heard of such a thing?

Okay, last post.
I thought long and hard today about this 'bitter' thing
It's not the money It's not the horny feelings I got from 'Bella'
Melissa really went a very long way to keep this myth alive. She came across as someone who was troubled, yes, but also someone with heart and someone who deserved a shot at life. Single mom, two kids, just starting to get somewhere, and then she gets sick etc
She had painted a real picture of a person. Maybe I wanted this type of thing in my life, who knows? I know people like Ken and Thrash were fooled, and made fools of as well.
I thought I found a friend She had cancer, so I learned all I could about it, and helped her with links to message board support. I sent her packages of green tea and white grape juice, foods that are very helpful for women with BC.
I talked with her on the phone, and made her laugh. I miss her voice and her laugh even still She had an engaging personality, a free spirit We shared alot of time on the phone When I sent her cards and small packages, I always sent it to "Bella Kampanelli", and as a postal worker, how could I question her name? PO Boxes require ID. Fraud is fraud. Eh. Anyways. This person was giving me a life lesson. She was showing me the way to be unselfish She was showing me how to help unrequited, and without expectation. I told her I loved her too. Dunno what that meant in such a relationship, but she seemed to love it. I wrote poems I wrote horny stories. I took time and showed her I cared.
I am bitter because of these things. These days, not so much.
You did it Melissa, but you are a proud thief who cannot face herself. I still hate you on principle, but I know it's meaningless.
I'd like to thank you all and tell you a little something about myself. I hated myself because I wasted a lifetime fighting for a cause that I now know is a big fat lie. Then I read this thread and I feel good that I quit school, put on my countries' uniform, and missed out on all this stupid teenaged drama. My level of self-loathing is now minimal. Compared to you folks, it is nonexistent.
I have no advice to give because I don't really know any of you nor do I wish to. Please continue, you're so much better (and cheaper) than therapy.
